Gospel music icon, CeCe Winans and her husband, Alvin Love, are celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary. The couple who pastor Nashville Life Church got married on June 23rd, 1984.
Taking to social media to celebrate the special occasion, Cece uploaded a lovely photo of herself and her hubby, alongside a sweet message to him.
She wrote, “Alvin, thank you for living up to your name. You have loved me well for 38 years! We have experienced good and bad times but our good times have outweighed our bad by far!! I Love you a whole bunch, Happy Anniversary Bae.
The loving couple met in the 80s during a night of family bowling. Not too long after, Love traveled to North Carolina to see the Winans family minister on a Christian television program and the two took a liking to each other.
Despite their big age difference (Winans was 17 and Love was 33, almost twice her senior!), their courtship flourished. Love won over Mom and Pop Winans whose only requirement was that he loved Jesus. Less than a year after sparks flew, Love and Winans made it official and tied the knot on June 23, 1984 they are proud parents of two children, Alvin Love III and Ashley Rose.
