During a parliament sitting last Thursday Uganda Parliament members of parliament aired out their dissatisfaction towards the curfew hours that were put in place in a bid to curb the spread of covid 19. It should be known that it has been a full year now ever since curfew time was put in place.

According to many, curfew has done more harm than good since many churches can no longer carry on their services as it used to be night prayers inclusive, economically many business institutions have been shut down indirectly because of the operational hours they used to work in.

It’s on this ground that Speaker Rebecca Kadaga directed the Prime Minister to make a statement on how long curfew has to be sustained “Following Mp’s dissatisfaction, this afternoon, with a brief from the Internal Affairs Minister, on behalf of the Prime Minister, I’ve directed that the issue stays on the Order Paper. The Premier must make a statement on the curfew which’s hurting the economy and infringing religious freedoms”
