Last year, Desire Luzinda’s fans were shocked at her decision to leave secular singing music to worship God with her beautiful Voice. In her past life, the singer was known for singing love songs and doing all the crazy things secular artists do to keep their fans engaged.
Her decision to sing worship music came after she confessed to christ as her personal Lord and savior. She was led to Christ by apostle Grace Lubega of phaneroo ministries in Kampala and has since been a faithful follower of Christ.
Desire launched the Desire Luzinda Foundation last year a ministry in which she looks after vulnerable people including children, youth, and adults and shares the gospel of Christ with them in the process. During the launch of her foundation, Desire said,
‘ while everyone thought she was all right and presumably living a happy life, she spent most of her past life depressed until she met christ.
Her circle of friends changed not because it’s what she wanted but because friends left her since she could not add anything more to them.
Earlier this week, Desire released her first song, ‘I over Come in which she praises and worships God for being by her side all through her life. Desire recorded this song ’ with the help of Levixone, one of Uganda’s established gospel musicians.
