The 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards Event has just concluded. The Grammy is considered one of the four major annual American entertainment awards, along with the Academy Awards (for film achievements), the Emmy Awards (for television achievements), and the Tony Awards (for theater achievements).
The event recorded a number of Christian music artist wining awards and getting nominations in the various “Gospel Music” categories. The Christian awards categories included Best Gospel Performance/song, Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/song, Best Contemporary Christian Music Album
Best Gospel Album, Bestroots Gospel Album
The winner for the for the Best Gospel Performance/song was Never Lost by CeCe Winans. Other Nominations for this category include “Voice of God” by Dante Bowe featuring Steffany Gretzinger and Chandler Moore, “Joyful” by Dante Bowe, Help” by Anthony Brown & Group Therapy, and “Wait on You” by Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music.
For the Category of the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/song, the winner was “Believe for it” by Cece Winans. Other Nominations for this category were “We Win” by Kirk Franklin and Lil Baby,” Hold Us Together” (Hope Mix) by H.E.R. and Tauren Wells and “Man of Your Word” and Chandler Moore and KJ Scriven.
The Best Contemporary Christian Music Album went to “Old Church Basement” by Maverick City Music & Elevation Worship, other nominees were “No Stranger” by Natalie Grant, “Citizen of Heaven (Live)” by Tauren Wells; and the award for the Best Gospel Album went to “Believe for It” by Cece Winans.
Cece Winans bagged a total of 3 awards tonight, and she expressed joy and her heartfelt gratitude to the Lord Almighty and everyone else who made this possible
