Leading Ugandan artist Emmanuel Kusaasira Edwin, better known by his stage name Coopy Bly, will be a special guest at Essendon’s huge clash with Greater Western Sydney on Thursday. This came after Coopy Bly recorded The Essendon theme song ‘See the Bombers Fly Up’ , a reinterpretation of the classic number
Coopy Bly went viral in Australia last year when he created a brilliant cover of club theme song ‘See the Bombers Fly Up’ (see the video above), which will be shown again before the match at Marvel Stadium.
The popular musician declared he is now a “big fan” of the Bombers and he said he was itching to go to the game when he visited The Hangar on Tuesday.
“I’m so excited, I can’t sleep until that,” Kusaasira Edwin said.
“I wasn’t even able to sleep on my way here (from Uganda), so I’m so excited and so honoured.”
Coopy Bly said he was extremely pleased to get the chance to tour The Hangar.
“I’ve come to Australia a few times and I have never had the chance to be here, so being here in the facility is just mind blowing and I’m really honoured.”
