Zabuli pens down a hearty message upon her Award nomination

With massive hits that have been rocking there airwaves year in year out, dance hall artist Zabuli has seen a lot of acceptance and public applaud for her many hits from students to mainstream media, nominated in quite a number of awards a thing that was rare for female dancehall artists. After her succesful nomination to the Vine Awards the first of there kind Zabuli penned down a hearty message to her fans on her social media account recounting the days that have made her the person that she is today. Zabuli has been nominated in the “artist of the year category” 2020. 

“It will take you a minute to understand this if you have never been called a nobody with nothing but if you are like me, came from nothing and today you are somewhere being looked at as something to somebody, cheers to not losing faith. You see, 7 years ago, God called me to service. I had nobody to tell to understand me, nothing like a penny to start wit, no experience to build from, and the worst part was, I didn’t even have a foundation strong enough in God to help me start, but do you know what I had?, my “yes” when God said go.”

You see, 7 years ago, God called me to service. I had nobody to tell to understand me, nothing like a penny to start wit, no experience to build from, and the worst part was, I didn’t even have a foundation strong enough in God to help me start, but do you know what I had?, my “yes” when God said go. I got a job as a receptionist in a studio, with no idea what music was all I know is I loved dancing and I was crazy when the music played. I worked for a few months, nothing special about me then one day, a very local producer walked to me while I was singing with my headphones on a Lucky Dube song and he said, girl you have an amazing voice, can I work on a project with you? I was shocked and I didn’t believe him because there was other producers who worked there but had never told me I had something special. I said okay jokingly. Next week he did a jam for me but it wasa tribute song because my father had just died. Yo! It was 5minutes long. Haha. He said let us collaborate on the next song. He produced another I wrote, this time it was a dancehall song, he said, “it sounds good with you alone, let me feature on the next, with in no time, I had 5jams. This story is long but if you are to follow it, stay locked here and share to invite somebody on my journey as we encourage each other today. Why have I started sharing this? I have been nominated in these awards as a” artiste of the year” this seems small to those who have a lot already but for me, being a female dancehall artiste, this is a game changer. I would love to direct all the love and appreciation to @vineawardsug for this, I am grateful, we as team Zabuli are honoured for what we are seeing here. From a humble background, we are here representing the whole christian fraternity not just females but the whole fraternity. We are honoured to be recognized for the resiliency we have had. In this 7th year, thing are turning around. Team Zabuli, we are winning this . sikyo
