Legendary Ugandan songwriter, musician-turned High Court Advocate Sylver Kyagulanyi appears to have turned his attention back to his original calling – music.
On Saturday, the man of the never fading ‘OLUNAKU LUNNO’ hit song, will be premiering the video of his new gospel hit ‘Kankusinze’ (Let me worship you) on Saturday at 5pm.
‘Kankusinze’ was shot last year in Jinja district eastern Uganda, on the banks of the River Nile. Incredible Media did the wonderful job of piecing the wonderful song into video.
The song, a worship dedication to the creator, is part of the album, ‘Ekisa Ekinondoola’ released last year as the singer turned 40.
He released the album as a tribute to God for making him hit the four decade milestone.
The ‘Kankusinze’ video is a follow up to another equally nice worship song ‘Ekisa Ekinondoola’ which was released last year. following a break he took to concentrate on books.
Early last year, Kyagulanyi was among the 144 Lawyers that were enrolled as Advocates of the High Court in Kampala.
This was after he completed the nine-month Law Development Centre (LDC) course that is popularly described as the place that makes or breaks advocates.
His first recognizable hit was congratulations, a song dedicated to celebrating one’s achievement in life and it has maintained its grip on the Ugandan social scene as it is played at almost every party. He also captured Uganda’s airwaves with his olunaku luno, a gospel song that probably announced him as a gospel musician
