On 6th May 2023, Vine Entertainment group hosted its annual vine awards ceremony at the Kampala Serena Hotel. The epic event was graced by hundreds of Christians to celebrate the achievements of various gospel artists and ministers.
The event was crowned with the award of the Gospel Artiste of the Year which Sam Kimera scooped. This was a well-deserved award for Sam Kimera who has worked so hard to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ through his music and yet continues to give hope, counseling, and nourish the souls of his fans through feel-good music topped with real-life stories.
Last year in October, Kimera launched his two EPs Hearts and Minds at Vive church where he hosted hundreds of his fans in a two-day concert. These EPS are a reflection of of majorly the covid19 pandemic experiences not only him but the community at large.
Receiving his award, K!mera thanked Vine Entertainment Group for Organising the celebration event, thanked his fans for voting for him, and also honored God for all his achievements. In his conclusion he encouraged Christians to be the LIGHT FOR ALL MEN – Matthew 5:16
Amongst other winners for the night was Brian Lubega who scooped Male Artiste of the year, Gabi Ntaate, Female Artiste of the Year, Coopybly Video of the Year and Limoblaze ft Lucrea Jireh won African Song of the Year.
Among Honorary Awards, Lorna Magara was a recipient of the Education Impact Award, Davis Musinguzi – ICT /Innovation Impact Award, Harriet Ocitti received Leadership Impact Award, Avoda Group received the Business Impact Award, Entikko received Mindustry Impact Award and Sylva Kyagulanyi was honored with the Legacy Impact Award.
