In a sermon series by Pastor Julius Rwotlonyo of Watoto Church that has been broadcasting overtime and concluded on Sunday, Pastor Julius has been giving a ray of light to Christians that are troubled because of the tough times as brought about by the global pandemic.
He named things Christians should commit to if they were to thrive through tough times, basing his sermon in Philippians 4:10-13, Talking about Paul’s value of contentment how it brought him about to thrive in the hard times.
In his words asked Christians to Commit themselves to a Godly mindset rather than an ungodly mindset as this enables one to stop entertaining negative thoughts even when its easy to slip into an ungoldy mindset during the tough times, as this could easily lead one to have a defeated mindset that could further more cause stress and suicidal thoughts.
He quotes Joyce Meyer’s book about mindset Battlefield of the mind “When a person is going through hard times, his mind wants to give up. Satan knows that if he can defeat us in our mind, he can defeat us in our experience. That’s why it is so important that we don’t lose heart, grow weary and faint when we are going through hard times”
A Godly mindset embraces tough times as an opportunity for life transformation, a Godly mindset is faith based. Godly values give you an unshakable solid foundation for thriving in tough times.
