Pastor Martin Ssempa, founder of Makerere Community Church and renowned activist opens up again about the New Jerusalem Crown song also known as (Olutalo nga luwade) an original gospel composition turned political, Pastor Ssempa claims to have a special attachment to the song, in an interview he said that the same song was sang on his mother’s funeral as a symbol that she had finished the earthly battle, in his words he said
Bobiwine is right politically and wrong theologically
Bobiwine’s song is a desecration to the crown according to Revelation 21 “Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God…….” this is the land of new Jerusalem were there aren’t any diseases, sickness, pain corrupt, murderers, no liars or magicians and homosexuals, its a total new Jerusalem and therefore trying to switch the concept of the original song is totally unacceptable, therefore his song is a fundamental misappropriate representation of God’s truth
