Olubankole Wellington, popularly known by his stage name Banky W and credited in film as Banky Wellington, is a popular Nigerian singer, rapper, actor, politician, and Pastor! Yes, you heard that right!
Banky W’s dedication to God and the church is on a new level as the RnB star has been spotted on several videos preaching at The WaterBrook (TWB) – a young and vibrant Church in Lagos founder by Dr. Tony Rapu, who doubles as the Senior Pastor and founder of This Present House (TPH).
In a recent online-service at The WaterBrook, “The Wedding Party” actor was referred to as Pastor Banky W (PB) which confirms his role as one of the preachers in the church. He also kicked off a new series on the word of God tagged: Watch What You Say (Part 1).
Just before Banky W started preaching, Top Nigerian female singer and Vocalist, Waje lead the online audience in a moving worship session. She started by singing, “I Surrender” by Hillsong Worship, to “More of You” by Sinach, “You are Yahweh” by Steve Crown, Hymn, “Holy Holy” and wraps up the worship moment with “Fill My Cup”.
Proudly recognized for her vocal range which covers three octaves, the leader of Waje’s Safe House a non-government organization, revealed that despite feeling nervous, she hasn’t felt so fulfilled in a long time.
“Yesterday I led worship in my church and though it’s not the first time I’m singing but it’s the first time I’m leading worship in my church,” Waje pens on an Instagram Post. “I was so nervous for so many reasons which I’ll gist you later but God’s love is so calming that once you key in, His grace just embraces you.”
“I haven’t felt this fulfilled in a very long time.” She Added
