Award winning power couple the Nyathandos Pompi and Esther Chungu made history at the Gospel Music awards (Olive Awards) which was held at the Mulungushi conference center on the 23rd April, 2022.
Pompi won “Best male of the year“ awards while Esther Chungu bagged “Best Female of the year“ and “Best Artist of the year awards.”
Pompi then took to Facebook and wrote “I want to sincerely thank you ( The fans)for this award for “Best Male Artist Of The Year 2022″. I would also love to thank the Olive Awards for the honor”
He went on to say “l will put it right Next to my wifes well deseved award for “Best Female Artist Of The Year 2022″. May God be praised”.
What a night it was for the Nyathandos. Congratulations to Esther Chungu and Pompi for winning such amazing awards.
About the Olive Awards
The Olive Awards are Gospel Music and Arts Awards that are identified to bridge standing desire and gap for stand-alone awards event for Christian arts especially music which plays a very big part in arts and culture. Though Music is the dominant category, the awards include other arts like poetry, theatre and cinematography.
The awards are designed to take place annually in Lusaka Zambia. and this year they kicked off on Friday 25th March 2022 with the inaugural event.
The Olive Awards are managed by SOLMUK LIMITED and Mwenzo Innovation Limited which is a Corporate Branding and Events Company. Mwenzo also has had rights to managing the Zambia Film and Television Awards (ZAFTA’s) which are Zambia’s Top film industry awards and are sponsored by Multichoice Zambia Limited.
