Since it was pre-recorded, the worship event will go on as scheduled – in memory of the deceased said the event organizers and this was further verified by a tweet from the Sinza Worship concert account.

“Pastor Gideon may be gone to glory but his ministry will live on. Join us tomorrow, Saturday 25th, at 8:00pm for a special pre- recorded #Healing #Worship experience as we celebrate the life of the man whose life was an embodiment of true worship!”

Pr Gideon is remembered in his May 2021 Facebook Live broadcast, encouraging believers to join a spiritual warfare prayer for supernatural help especially among nations hardest hit by Covid-19. He cited Matthew 12:29, where Jesus says, “How can anyone enter the strong man’s house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.”

“We are living in a time where so many people are losing hope. So many people do not know where to start from,” he said then. Pastor Gideon explained that God’s truth is the supreme weapon against the father of lies ( John 8:44), and that only when we know the truth and commit ourselves to obey it will we stand strong.

On spiritual breakthrough in life, Gideon encouraged persistence through prayer, noting that “when nearing the shore, there are often so many tides that pull you back from all sides.”
